On July 15, CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding held steel cutting ceremony for the 5,500TEU 2# container ship built for CMA CGM.
This ship is the second ship in the CMA CGM container ship project, and the commencement of this project marks another solid step for Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding to the mass construction of container ships.
The ship has a total length of 255 meters, a width of 40 meters, and a depth of 22 meters. It can carry 5,598 TEU and is classified by BV. This series of ships are single propellers, suitable for transporting dry cargo containers, refrigerated containers and designated dangerous goods containers within the scope of technical specifications.
