Shanghai's three major shipbuilders broke a new shipbuilding record Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2022-02-15 15:00

Shanghai's three major shipbuilding companies—Jiangnan Shipbuilding, Hudong Zhonghua, and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding—have both broken monthly records in terms of new ship orders and completed deliveries in January this year.
 
In January, the three major shipping companies received orders for 18 new ships of 6 types, including 7,600 CEU LNG dual-fuel vehicle carriers, 174,000 m3 LNG carriers, and 7,000 TEU container ships, with a contract value of more than 18 billion yuan, a record high in a single month.
 
In January, Shanghai's three major shipbuilding companies realized the start of construction of a 93,000 m3 VLGC and two dual-fuel-powered 190,000 DWT capesize bulk carriers; 1 ultra-large 24,000 TEU container ship, 1 86,000 m3 VLGC, 1 174,000 m3 LNG carrier, 1 dual-fuel powered 119,000 DWT Aframax crude carrier, and 1 210,000 DWT capesize bulk carrier are out of dock.
 
Trial voyages of a 15,000 TEU conventional power ultra-large container ship, an 80,000 m3 LNG ship, a 3,600 CEU vehicle carrier, and a dual-fuel powered 209,000 DWT newcastlemax bulk carrier has been completed.
 
In addition, there is also a 30,000 m3 LNG carrier equipped with the world's largest C-type binaural tank, which has realized the connection of the whole ship in Jiangnan Shipbuilding.
