China finds 4.8 bln T coal reserves in eastern province xinde marine news 2018-04-05 12:42


About 4.8 billion tonnes of coal reserves were found out recently in Huainan city, eastern China's Anhui province, announced by the province's Department of Land and Resource.

In the meantime, 97.94 billion cubic meters of coalbed methane reserves were also found in the region.

The coal reserves, with an area of 450 km2 and an exploration depth of 1,500 km, are located adjacent to an existing coalfield in Panji district in the city, which belongs to the local state-owned coal miner Huainan Mining Group.

The exploration work has started in November 2011. In November, 2013, 4.6 million tonnes of coal reserves were found in the explored region.
