On March 8, Singaporean shipowner Petredec Holdings (Eastern) announced an additional order for three 93,000 m3 dual-fuel VLGCs. The new ships are expected to be delivered in June, August and September 2023.

Petredec has ordered 3+3 93000 m3 VLGCs in Jiangnan in November last year. Petredec, headquartered in Singapore, owns 21 VLGCs and is the second largest VLGC owner in the world.

The order expands Petredec's VLGC fleet to 27 vessels, solidifying Petredec's position as the world's second largest VLGC owner and making it the youngest fleet on average.

Jiangnan continued to top the global VLGC hand-held order list with 21 vessels, accounting for about 48% of the market share.

Petredec's goal is to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 40% by 2030.
