On December 28, China Shipbuilding Trading signed a contract for the construction of four 24000TEU super large container ships with Hudong Zhonghua, Jiangnan Shipyard and Bank of Communications Financial Leasing.

The project will be built by Hudong Zhonghua and Jiangnan Shipyard, two of which will be designed and developed by Hudong Zhonghua.

At present, the 24000TEU container ship is the ship with the largest packing capacity and the largest deadweight in the world. The total number of containers reaches 24100 and it is equipped with mixed scrubbers.

This signing is also the specific implementation of the strategic cooperation agreement signed on December 18 between CSSC and Bocomm Leasing.

In the next five years, Bocomm Leasing will provide CSSC with RMB 100 billion for financing support.

Together with Hudong Zhonghua and Jiangnan Shipyard, CSSC will give full play to the advantages of internal collaboration and work together to ensure the high-quality construction and timely delivery of 24000TEU container ships.
