Norwegian shipowner Ludwig Mowinckels Rederi placed an order for 4 Suez tankers with a total weight of 158,000 dwt at New Times Shipbuilding, with a total price of approximately US$208.4 million.
New Times Shipbuilding currently holds a total of 50 orders of 6,626,300 dwt. The ship types include MR product tankers, Aframax tankers, LR2 tankers, Suez tankers, Newcastlemax bulk carriers and very large ore carriers (VLOC).
Since the beginning of this year, New Times Shipbuilding has received an order for five Suez-type tankers from Greek shipowner Dynacom Tankers, each with a price of US$50 million, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2022.
