Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Receives 4 Container Ship Orders.
 
On May 27, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and Zhejiang Seaport signed a construction contract for four 1000TEU feeder container ships. This batch of ships will be built in New Yangzi Shipbuilding, and all will be delivered to the shipowner by June 2022.
 
The 1000TEU feeder container ship is 139.9 meters long, 25.0 meters wide and 8.0 meters draft, with a design speed of 14.0 knots. It is designed by SDARI.
 
It has the features of carrying more heavy containers, large container load, large square coefficient, moderate ship speed, reasonable main engine power and reserve power, and low fuel consumption.
 
This type of ship is a kind of green environmental protection and energy saving ship which is customized according to the conditions of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, Zhapu Port and other coastal ports in Zhejiang province. It is a short-distance feeder container ship with the port as the main development unit.
