After 6 years, the first platform supply vessel (PSV) ever built by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding was finally delivered.
 
On the afternoon of January 17, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding held a signing and delivery ceremony for the “Guo Hai Min Xing” (H1341) platform supply vessel (PSV). At the ceremony, representatives from Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, China Shipbuilding Industry & Trade Shanghai Co., Ltd. and Tianjin CSSC Jianxin No. 9 Leasing. jointly signed the delivery documents. The leaders of relevant departments of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and representatives of DNV GL attended the ceremony.
 
“Guo Hai Min Xing” is one of a series of 4 ULSTEIN PX121 PSVs built by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding. It was originally ordered by Pacific Offshore, a Singaporean offshore vessel owner, in 2013. The hull numbers are h1340 / h1341 / h1350 / h1351 respectively, which are scheduled to be delivered in 2015. This is the first time for Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding to build PSV, and it is also the first time for Shanghai shipbuilding industry to build PSV.
 
It is reported that the next PSV project of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for the transformation of COSL will also be launched in the near future.
