On December 3, Marintec China 2019, the largest maritime exhibition in Asia and the second largest in the world, officially opened in Shanghai. During the exhibition, New Dayang and China Development Bank Leasing signed a letter of intent on cooperation for eight Crown 63 bulk carriers. This is the new cooperation between New Dayang and China Development Bank Leasing after the first batch of cooperation orders for the construction of the Crown 63 and Crown 82 bulk carriers.

The contracted Crown 63 bulk carrier has a good brand reputation among shipowners worldwide. The ship conforms to the green trend of the shipbuilding industry and has the "Green Passport" qualification. Its design meets the requirements of the latest IMO ship energy efficiency design index EEDI, which can be reduced by up to 20%.

New Dayang has made continuous efforts in strengthening ship research and development and has established the Shanghai research and development center, committed to the development of new ship types and the optimization and upgrading of existing ship types, and developed the upgraded version of crown 63 and the wide-body crown 84 series bulk carriers. New Dayang has completed delivery of 7 ships this year, and currently holds 22 orders.

New Dayang, as a traditional large shipyard with good construction strength and experience, relying on the central SOE background of Sumec Marine, will accelerate the transformation from shipbuilding to shipbuilding intelligence, build a globally efficient green shipbuilding base, and make its due contribution to China's transformation from a shipbuilding leader to a great shipbuilding power.
