The 93,000 m3 VLAC is a derivative ship (Panda 93A) of the fourth-generation VLGC boutique ship type independently developed and designed by Jiangnan, and it is also the largest liquid ammonia carrier in the world.

In May 2023, EPS and Jiangnan Shipyard signed an order for four 93,000 m3 VLACs for the first time. This is also the first time EPS has signed a contract to build large-scale liquefied gas carriers in China.

This signing is the second batch of new shipbuilding orders placed by EPS at Jiangnan Shipyard, and is also the second in-depth cooperation between EPS and Jiangnan Shipyard.

Jiangnan Shipyard has been committed to promoting the research and development and design of green energy liquefied gas carriers, actively responding to the energy transition, and providing ship owners with the right solutions. It will help shipping companies and partners move towards green shipping and ultimately achieve net-zero emissions.
