On October 10, Jiangnan Shipyard, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), celebrated a significant milestone with the opening of its Middle East office in Abu Dhabi.

Following the opening ceremony, another 2 new 93,000-cubic-meter Very Large Ammonia Carriers (VLAC) were signed between Jiangnan Shipyard and ADNOC Logistics & Services and AW Shipping, a joint venture between ADNOC and Wanhua Chemical Group.

Xiao Wenlin, General Manager of Jiangnan Shipyard, emphasized the strategic significance of the Middle East office as a starting point to deepen collaboration with oil & gas companies and shipping firms. He committed to further R&D investments to meet the region's energy transport needs.

This contract reinforces their commitment to low-carbon energy transportation.

ADNOC L&S CEO Captain Abdulkareem Al Masabi welcomed the new office, stating that it will strengthen the partnership between ADNOC L&S, AW Shipping, and Jiangnan Shipyard, especially in advancing low-carbon shipping solutions.

Wanhua Chemical Group President Kou Guangwu highlighted the successful delivery of 18 gas carriers since 2020, marking a major milestone in their ongoing collaboration with Jiangnan Shipyard.
