On September 9, 2024, Nanjing Tanker Corporation (a sister company of China Merchants Energy Shipping，and subsidiary of China Merchants Group.) approved the construction of an 18,000dwt chemical tanker at its subsidiary Nanjing Yangyang Chemical Transportation, with the contract awarded to China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Jiangsu) for approximately RMB 246.5 million. This decision further strengthens the company’s strategy to optimize its chemical shipping fleet, improve operational efficiency, and increase its market share in the chemical transportation sector.
This new vessel will significantly enhance Nanjing Tanker Corporation's competitive position in the global chemical transport market, ensuring the company continues to lead in this key industry.
