On February 16, world's largest container ship OOCL SPAIN was named in Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering.
The ship is the first of six vessels of the same type built by Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering for Orient Overseas Container Line Limited and the world's largest container ship. The ship will be OOCL's first 24,188 TEU container ship and it will be delivered in March.

With a total length of 399.99 meters, a width of 61.3 meters and a depth of 33.2 meters, the ship has a carrying capacity of 228,000 DWT and a deck area equivalent to 3.5 football fields. When fully loaded, the ship can reach the height of a 22-story house.
