Wuhu Shipyard delivers world's first 22,000DWT hybrid chemical tanker xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-12-15 16:41

On December 14, the world's first 22,000DWT hybrid chemical tanker "Prospero"  built by Wuhu Shipyard for Swedish shipowner Donsötank AB was officially delivered in Shanghai.
 
The hull has a total length of 167.7 meters, a width of 26.5 meters, a depth of 13.9 meters, a draft of 9.2 meters, a cargo capacity of 28,000 m3, and a deadweight of 22,000DWT.
 
The ship is equipped with the world's leading dual-fuel engine, using LNG, fuel oil and electric propulsion. Its EEDI in the LNG mode is 4.44 grams of carbon dioxide per ton, which means that it has far met the IMO's low carbon emission requirements.
