BIMCO SmartCon Launced in China Shanghai & Guangzhou
 


BIMCO SmartCon launched in Shanghai and Guangzhou on 22 and 23 Jan 2018.It is an innovative and revolutionary new solution for editing contracts called SmartCon. It makes contractual work easier and more secure.
 
Wayne Zhuang, General Manager of BIMCO Asia introduced it is a new solution for editing contracts which based on Microsoft cloud technology and encrypted Word-document, can provides more security, enhance editing function and much easier to use.


 
SmartCon will eventually replace IDEA, which was introduced in 2000 and was used by over 3,000 companies worldwide. SmartCon is a digital ecosystem that brings together authenticated BIMCO standard contracts, explanatory notes, advice, information, and context-sensitive eLearning tools – all within a secure Microsoft Word document.
 
In addition, it has context-sensitive explanatory notes, direct access to eLearning modules and members can write directly to BIMCO’s Support and Advice function.
 
BIMCO is the world’s largest international shipping association, with 2,100 members in more than 120 countries. The global membership includes shipowners, operators, managers, brokers and agents.
