About CSSC Carnival Cruises

Founded in March 2018, CSSC Carnival is a joint venture company between China State Shipbuilding Corporation, the world's largest ship building company, and Carnival Corporation & plc, the world's largest leisure travel company, to construct and operate its own cruise fleet, with an aim to build itself into a leading and full-functioning Chinese-flagged cruise company. Currently it has two ships Costa Atlantica and Costa Mediterranea in its fleet.

CSSC Carnival has ordered two 135,500 GT new-build cruise ships, based on the Vista-class ships built for Carnival Corp. The first China-built cruise ship is being under construction at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Corp., with the first scheduled to be delivered in 2023.
