The world's first 24,000TEU ULCC delivered in China

On June 22, China's first world's largest 24,000TEU Ultra Large Container Carriers (ULCC) was signed and delivered at Hudong-Zhonghua of CSSC.
 
The ship is independently designed by Hudong-Zhonghua and has completely independent intellectual property rights. The ship is classed by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and will serve the Far East to Europe once operational.
 
With a total length of 399.99 meters, the ship is more than 60 meters longer than the world's largest aircraft carrier. It is 61.5 meters wide with a deck area of 24000 square meters, equivalent to 3.5 standard football fields. The depth of the cargo hold reaches 33.2 meters, which can carry 240,000 tons of cargo and can hold more than 24,000TEUs at a time. The maximum stack of containers can reach 25 layers, equivalent to the height of a 22-story building. It is the largest container ship in the world at present, and is known as the "giant" on the sea.

It is world's first ULCC that container load truly reached 24000TEUs, the maximum container load reached 24,004TEUs.
