SPG ranks among top 50 on 2022 Logistics and Supply Chain (China) Solutions

Shandong Port Group (SPG), the world's largest port conglomerate in terms of cargo capacity, ranked among the top 50 on the list of the 2022 Logistics and Supply Chain (China) Solutions, which was released at the 2022 Global Trade and International Logistics Summit Forum, a major support activity for the fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE), held in Shanghai on Nov 8.

The list focused on the theme of "Building a safe, stable and green supply chain system", and was jointly selected by the International Logistics and Supply Chain Advisory Committee (ICSC) experts, business members and representatives of research institutions. SPG was the only port enterprise in China to make it on the list.

Two projects on the top 50 list launched by SPG are expected to promote the transformation and upgrading of transportation equipment technology, and implement the transportation power strategy.

These projects will also help the group build an intelligent supply chain platform, and offer its customers logistics digital supply chain management solutions.

At present, the world has entered a new period of turbulence and transformation under the combined impact of global changes and the COVID-19 pandemic, both unseen in a century. At this critical moment, ports are of great significance in serving as the ballast stone in stabilizing industrial and supply chains and keeping economic fundamentals stable.

SPG will continue to play its role as a logistics hub and a gateway to enhance opening-up to the outside world, and speed up its pace in developing itself into an international shipping hub center in Northeast Asia.
