SIPG and HMM join hands in clean marine fuel xinde marine news 2024-04-03 11:28

To promote the decarbonization in the shipping industry, Shanghai International Port Group and HMM signed the Memorandum of Understanding on supply cooperation for Shanghai Port clean marine fuel.

In accordance with the agreement, the two parties will jointly explore the possibility of SIPG providing long-term clean marine fuel purchasing, supply and refueling services for HMM's upcoming LNG or green methanol dual-fuel fleet, so as to jointly promoting the realization of carbon reduction targets, advancing new energy cooperation in global shipping industry, and supporting the energy transformation and sustainable development in the shipping industry. 

SIPG will expedite the construction of green energy center in Shanghai port and further shape Shanghai port into a low-carbon and eco-friendly energy hub port in the Asia-Pacific region.
