Dalian Ranks 1st on Rail-sea Intermodal Transportation

Dalian container rail-sea intermodal transportation volume ranks first in China 



Dalian container rail-sea intermodal transportation volume and petroleum products exports ranked first in China 2017.

On January 18, the Belt and Road Foreign Trade Big Data Research Institute of the National Information Center, based in Dalian, released a message that Dalian's rail-sea intermodal transportation throughput reached 41.2 million TEU in 2017, up 1.5% over the same period of the previous year. Rail-sea intermodal transportation volume accounted for 4% of the container throughput volume, twice as all China ports’ average level with obvious advantages.

Through realigning the advantageous resources of "Foreign Trade + Big Data + Internet", the Belt and Road Foreign Trade Big Data Research Institute of the National Information Center can query and analyze the global trade changes real-time online.

According to big data analysis, in 2017, the most exported commodities from Dalian Customs were petroleum products, lubricants, steel structures, oil tankers and offshore drilling platforms. Dalian rail-sea intermodal transportation throughput reached 41.2 million TEUs, with year-on-year growth of 1.5%, also ranked first in China.
