China Shipping bulletins on November 21,2018


1.China National Offshore Oil Co, or CNOOC, offloaded a liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo on Nov. 11 shipped from Yamal, first of its kind the Chinese firm received from the Russian Arctic gas project, CNOOC said on its website on Tuesday.

2.The China Marine Economy Expo is a large marine economic and trade event co-hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Guangdong provincial government. It is an important platform to showcase marine economy development and the innovative fruits of marine science and technology.

3.I am amazed by Taicang port's fast development, Lars Anke, chief representative of the Port of Hamburg's liaison office in China, said during his recent visit to the port in Jiangsu province.He expects the Chinese port will strengthen its cooperation with the Port of Hamburg.

4.The Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA) has entered into a cooperation agreement with the China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC) to promote maritime arbitration for the effective resolution of maritime disputes.

5.Singapore-based Saga LNG Shipping has received an approval in principle from China Classification Society (CCS) for an 80,000-cbm liquefied natural gas carrier.

6.Liberia has become the first ship registry to be admitted to the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) as an associate member.

7.The Shanghai International Shipping Institute's second quarter Global Port Development Report shows that cargo throughput of major ports rising by 7.2 per cent while container throughput increased by 3.3 per cent.

8.China's iron ore futures ended higher on Monday. The most active contract for January, 2019 delivery finished the day session 1.64 percent higher at 527.5 yuan per ton.
