China Shipping bulletins on September 26,2018


1.China denies plan to ban open loop scrubbers.Maritime officials deny speculation of a looming ban as industry opinion over open loop scrubber technology becomes increasingly polarised.
 
2.MSC has inked a contract with China's Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding to fit 29 of its containerships with scrubbers.The installation work by the China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) affiliate will commence in June next year.
 
3.Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has completed the seven-day sea trials of a new 20,000TEU container ship built for Cosco.The ship will undergo final commissioning work and is expected to be named and delivered in mid-October.
 
4.Beijing's countermeasure against the United States in their trade dispute would hurt US liquefied natural gas exporters while providing opportunities to other LNG-exporting countries,said the Ministry of Commerce.
