Mr Wang attends delivery ceremony of CHANG HANG JIANG YAO

On 18 May, 2019, Mr Wang Yongxin, President of China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES), attended the delivery ceremony at the dock of CSC Jiangdong Shipyard for CHANG HANG JIANG YAO, the commodity vehicle Ro-Ro ship ordered by CMES. Mr Wu Jianyi, Chief Engineer of CMES, Mr Zhang Aiguo, General Manager of CSC Ro-Ro, Mr Jiang Fuhai, General Manager of Jinling Shipyard, and Mr Ding Jianliang, Deputy General Manager, were present in the ceremony.

Mr Wang announced in his speech that the completion of CHANG HANG JIANG YAO marks an important achievement of the internal cooperation of the China Merchants Group. It is a concrete action to implement the “2+N” development strategy of CMES, and also an important measure to establish the identity of CSC Ro-Ro, make use of its advantages, and promote its quality work. This will introduce new dynamics into the special shipping fleet of CMES.

After the ceremony, Mr Wang also boarded the ship for a visit. During the time, he had an amiable conversation with the captain and wished CHANG HANG JIANG YAO a safe and sound voyage.

CHANG HANG JIANG YAO is the second new generation of CSC 800-parkings ship-lifting commercial vehicle ro-ro ship constructed by CMES at the CSC Jiangdong Shipyard. The vessel has a total length of 110 meters and a width of 16.8 meters, with 800 standard parking spaces. As the vessel enters operation, it will help form a swift ro-ro fleet of shiplift vessels to improve the quality and efficiency of transport services, and promote development in quality ro-ro transport.

Other attendees to the delivery ceremony included representatives from Wuhan Logistics and CSC Jiangdong Shipyard.
